Christmas overwhelm is a real thing. Ever found yourself hiding the bathroom for a moment’s peace? Or pretended to slip outside to take a phone call just so you could escape for a while? It’s okay to want to escape, to need time on your own. It’s normal to need this and you don’t have to feel guilty about it.
