Winter Solstice Sunrise Event @ Maeve's Barn

An invitation to immerse yourself in nature and absorb through your senses the beauty of each season.

This exploration offers respite in the woods, as we gather in a small group to spend quality, intentional time in nature in this December sunrise wellbeing workshop taking place just days before winter solstice.

Benefits of Forest Bathing

  • Experience and learn how to integrate wellbeing practices into daily life, like outdoor yoga, mindfulness, meditation, creative writing and journaling so that you can improve your ability to self-support and find calm

  • Disconnect from the busyness of everyday life and get the headspace to reflect and unwind

  • Carve out time to slow down, reduce stress, worry and overwhelm and discover how nature can support you on this mission

  • Develop a deeper connection, relationship and respect for our natural spaces

  • Experience forest bathing, where nature meets mindfulness. Originating in Japan in 1982, as “shinrin-yoku”, meaning to bathe / take in the forest’s atmosphere

What you can look forward to:

  • Each workshop is 2.5 hours long and take place from through the year, allowing you to experience the interconnected flow of the seasons

  • Workshop will include seasonal qi gong, reflective journaling, mindfulness, forest bathing

  • Each gathering will draw to a close with a tea ceremony and some homemade sweet treats & hot chocolate :)

Tune into the wisdom of trees and the rhythm of the year. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and the landscape around you, all in the company of a small group of like-minded people.
