The Pirate Queen: A Yoga Workshop retelling the story of Gráinne Mhaol
As part of the MOYA Festival Ballybunion
On Sunday 5th May at 2pm - 3.30pm in The Old Convent, Ballybunion, Co. Kerry
The Pirate Queen: The Amazing Yoga Workshop retelling the story of Gráinne Mhaol" is a captivating fusion of yoga and Irish myth & legendary storytelling, where we'll embark on an odyssey through a flowing yoga practice inspired by the adventurous spirit of the legendary Irish pirate queen.
How the workshop ebbs & flows:
Build strength with graceful warrior sequences, to fully embody the strength and resilience of Gráinne. Embracing the ocean, there will be back bends, undulations & forward folds to capture the sway of the ship at sea with the fluidity and power of the feminine energy. During the latter part of the practice, your inner warrior will be soothed with quiet, gentle, yin yoga to bring about stillness throughout the body. During this practice, you will be invited to let go as you bathe in the stories of this Sea Queen to the sound of soft tones and music.
Interwoven with your yoga practice, is Gráinne Mhaol's narrative, creating a holistic experience that seamlessly blends physical movement, mindfulness, and the inspirational tale of a remarkable woman. A workshop designed to rejuvenate and empower you and to help foster a profound connection to both the practice of yoga and the legendary saga of the Pirate Queen herself.
After we've flowed and rested, we delve into a guided reflective journaling session to get to know your inner wild atlantic warrior.
